Dr. Leszkiewicz graduated from the University of New Hampshire (UNH) in 1973 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Hydrology. He served as an officer in the United States Army for over 7 years before he obtained his Master of Science degree in Civil Engineering, and subsequently his Doctoral degree in Civil Engineering from UNH. He is a registered Professional Engineer in Massachusetts, Connecticut, New Hampshire, and Georgia, and a Professional Geologist in New Hampshire. He has more than 30 years of experience in the fields of civil engineering and geohydrology through his work on a variety of projects of different scope and sizes, including commercial, industrial and Superfund sites. He has led and directed teams of engineers and geologists and he has also successfully worked as an independent consultant. In this capacity, he has often taught and instructed engineers and geologists a variety of subjects and technical skills.

Dr. Leszkiewicz’s work experience includes a broad array of groundwater investigations, hydrologic and hydraulic analyses, and modeling. It includes the design and implementation of complex geohydrological investigations to support delineation of contaminant plumes in groundwater in a range of aquifer settings, including unconsolidated and fractured bedrock environments. He has also conducted detailed analyses assessing and modeling the transport and fate of contaminants in groundwater. In conjunction with those activities, he has designed and implemented remedial systems to capture and remove contaminated groundwater for treatment. Additionally, he has conducted investigations and studies into aquifers for water-supply development which includes conducting aquifer testing for sustained yield; delineation of wellhead protection areas through modeling; and identification of aquifer boundaries and recharge zones.
