The course consists of three parts, the first covers general design information, including durability, fire resistance, and tolerances and clearances.
The second part, details, discusses reinforcing bar development and volumetric changes due to creep, shrinkage, and temperature. Also discussed are grout, the shear-friction principle, and epoxy anchors.
The third part covers the design of supporting members, namely corbels and connection angles.
References are given after the third part.
This course includes a multiple-choice quiz at the end, which is designed to enhance the understanding of the course materials.
