The primary purpose of this course is to gain an understanding of what flexible metal roof deck diaphragms are, how they are attached and how they behave. In addition, a basic understanding of how to analyze a simple metal roof deck diaphragm will be provided enabling the user to size appropriate fastener types, sizes and spacings. An explanation of how the different types of fasteners are installed is also provided.
This course includes a multiple-choice quiz at the end, which is designed to enhance the understanding of the course materials.
