Space free of matter is called vacuum and it is created by Vacuum pumps. They are used to remove gas molecules from a sealed space or enclosure leaving a partial vacuum behind. They are used in various industries for multiple functions including in pharmaceutical industries, electrical and food-beverages industries for various applications like plastic molding processes, production of lamps, tubes, CRT displays, semiconductor processing, in the generation of glass coatings, milking, packaging and also in the aviation industry in building various components. This course presents types of vacuum and vacuum pumps, their selection as well as measurement.
This course includes a multiple-choice quiz at the end, which is designed to enhance the understanding of the course materials.
