Understanding the Life Safety CodeHSW

Life Safety Code, published by the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), establishes minimum requirements that will provide a reasonable degree of safety from fire and similar emergencies in buildings and structures. It has been adopted as a regulatory requirement by many States and federal agencies. This course helps you understand the goals of life safety, know the key concepts within life safety, and learn about means of egress requirements contained in Chapter 7 of the Life Safety Code (LSC).

The course has a multiple-choice quiz at the end, which is designed to enhance the understanding of the course materials. This course qualifies for Health, Safety and Welfare (HSW) credits.

* Note: This course can be used to satisfy part of the 4-hour Life Safety Code training requirement for engineers licensed in Louisiana.
