This online course provides guidance and criteria for the design of small water supply, treatment, and distribution systems. Water quality, water quantity, water sources, water treatment, pumping, storage, and distribution are discussed. The course materials are based on the Engineering Manual EM 1110-2-503 of the US Army Corps of Engineers: Design of Small Water Systems. You will learn the processes of pumping, chemical treatment, and filtering of water to make it safe and delicious to drink. This course includes a multiple-choice quiz at the end, which is designed to enhance the understanding of course materials.
