Lea Callahan currently works as an adjunct teacher, researcher, and a telecommunications consultant. She holds a BSEE and a MSEE from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She is a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Alabama. As an active member of IEEE, Mrs. Callahan was honored as Young Engineer of the Year for 1997. She has over 10 years of engineering experience for BellSouth as a network engineer and as a product evaluation specialist in BellSouth’s Science and Technology division, where she was responsible for the integration testing of new networking hardware and software. Lea also was a product developer and software consultant for Bitcrew, Inc.
