Mr. Nelson is a graduate of the Portland State University and is a licensed Professional Engineer in over half the States in the Country.

Mr. Nelson began his engineering career in 1989. Since then he has gained significant experience in the analysis and design of commercial and residential buildings built with wood, concrete, steel, and masonry.

In 2002 he founded his own company, SIP Engineering Consultants, LLC which specializes in the design of residential and commercial buildings utilizing structural insulated panels (SIPs).
