Mr. Terry has obtained registration as a Land Surveyor in eight states. His unusually diverse background working as an employee for architectural, engineering, surveying, contracting, developing, and construction management firms plus state government has afforded him a balanced and integrated perspective on surveying as it relates to other professions and disciplines. In addition, he has served as a training consultant and founded two surveying businesses.

He has taught a wide range of subjects, lectured extensively, and been published nationally. His honest concern for his students expressed through an ability to convey material in an organized, clear manner has aided many to gain a better understanding of a wide range of topics through his teaching and writing. His detail-oriented presentations are set in the ‘big picture’ perspective gained from his experience, fostering an impetus for learning in the student and increasing retention of course material.

He presents subject matter from the perspective of one who evolved with his profession for more than 40 years. True stories add dimension and life to his teaching, encouraging the student to honor ethical principles, apply wisdom in business and harness technology to serve our ends rather than to rule over us.
